pam Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 I recorded but when I try to play it, this is what I'm getting "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Trying to learn how to use this thing. Quote
noiki Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 yeah i have been recording with no prob so far. for the recording, while i'm doing it i make sure to open the file it is recording in my folder to make sure it's playing. if it's not playing or has the messed up pic, i stop the recording and try it again. pam Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I think it's becuz I have Windows Vista, the wmr recorder is only compatible with XP and under. It'll record, but I think I have to convert it in order to be able to see it. that's my guess. Quote

Mai Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 it usually says it cant play cause it`s recording  Quote
noiki Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 no...it should be able to play but you won't be able move it, it should play on it's own if it says it can't play then it's corrupted and you have to record again Quote

tEaRdRoP Posted March 17, 2008 Author Report Posted March 17, 2008 You just have to keep trying it again like what Noiki and Mai mentioned. Sometimes it works smoothly and other times it just doesn't want to cooperate with ya. You just have to be patient and wait it out. Quote
Kilua Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I guess I will have to reinstall the program and keep trying. I was so mad at that I just delete the program from my computer. I guess I was too impatient. Quote
tEaRdRoP Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 hahaha yeah I did that too the first time I tried it. I was so pissed off. But for me, I press record before I click on the video. I dunno if that will help you any but that seems to work for me. Quote
noiki Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 yes it's a must, you must click record before you click on the video, that way it gives it time to load it. and when the file pops up in ur folder, click on it to make sure it's playing correctly. if not, stop record, delete the file and try again. if you don't check the vid, you might not be recording correctly and waste your time ja. i learn that hard ways lolz Quote
