Ahh, for those who are living in Australia, don't forget to grab your mega pick or whatever games before next Tuesday night because it has jumped from $59 million last night to a MEGA $90 million for next Tuesday, due to many interested people the sales of the Oz Lotto went up making it the biggest award ever offer.

The Oz Lotto jackpot has soared to a record $90 million after there were no first division winners in Tuesday night's draw.

The estimated $50 million prize grew to $59.2 million before the draw following unprecedented sales that made it the highest first division prize lottery pool ever offered in Australia.

Despite punters spending more than $87 million in the hope of reaping the prize, it went unclaimed.

The draw attracted 79 million entries, with each entry having a one in 45 million chance of winning, so the lack of a winner is against the odds.

An Oz Lotto spokeswoman said the previous record of $52 million had been well and truly smashed after the recent jackpots.

"This is unknown territory," she told AAP.

"We've never been at this level before.

"It's the first time in Australian lotto history that we've been anywhere near $90 million."

That figure could even soar higher if Australians flock in record numbers to buy tickets in the draw.

And if next Tuesday's first division prize doesn't go off again, lotteries officials from around the country will decide on the amount of winnings on offer.

"They make that decision based on the sales that we receive this week," she said.

"The first division prize pool is pretty much an accumulation of the prize pool ... plus what we expect the level of interest is for the next draw."

While the first division prize didn't go off after Tuesday night's draw, more than 1.6 million prizes of between $12.90 and $26,376 were awarded.

One game of Oz Lotto costs $1.10, with a popular Megapick entry giving punters 24 games for $25.30.

The previous highest first division prize pool amount offered for Oz Lotto was $52.7 million, in July 2008.

That amount was won by four entries nationally.

I bought mine for the 50 million and only got 13 dollars back lolz but never less I'm going to dig in for the 90 million, wouldn't it be nice to win the lotto?

I buy a ticket once a month lolz depending on how much it is, but honestly, if won only a hundred, thousand or hundred thousand is still good, although millions would be great but it's better than zero

So I think since it's climbed to 90 million the chances of winning is going to be very slim lol so many people will buy making it one in 60 million or 100 million now but no harm in giving it a go hehe.

If no one wins tonight next week will probably be 200 million! but I'm sure someone is going to get it because everyone in the country is just getting a ticket, I got 110 games, my daddy got a couple of thousands of games lolz it's nuts, my sister got 100 games, hopefully one of us gets at least 1st or 2nd division if not the jackpot hehehe
