Wow once again the world is full of surprises
A woman who was raped 800 times by her father in an attempt to produce a baby for the purposes of welfare fraud has spoken out after reading about Elisabeth Fritzl.
Anne Marie Wilson was 11 when her father John began to abuse her behind the backs of his wife and their seven other children.
"When Fritzl’s face appeared on TV, I collapsed on the sofa," she was quoted by Love It magazine as saying.
"Elisabeth was just like me, Josef was just like Dad … the sickening details brought back everything."
When she turned 15, John stopped using condoms in the hope that Anne Marie would fall pregnant so that he could claim child benefits.
She miscarried, but her father repeatedly impregnated her — and forced her to lie to social workers about her situation — until she finally gave birth to a daughter named Jennifer a decade later.
But the child died of brain damage sustained during a difficult birth eight months later and Anne Marie ran away from home soon after.
She fell in love, married and gave birth to two daughters — and eventually told police of the abuse she suffered.
DNA evidence proved John was Jennifer's father and he was sentenced to three years jail for incest in September last year.
Anne Marie has since left her husband but now lives with her partner, their son and her daughters.
