Yesterday noon, the fire was only at Malibu but by 10pm we have half of southern california up in flames.. We were on our way up to san francisco for a show but when we got to santa barbara we had to turn back because two of my friends had to be evacuated from their homes because Irvine caught on fire too. The wind is ferocious here. They said it can go up to at least 65mph. Last night my godbro called me and said that in my area in menifee the wind were so strong that they had to tape up the door cus the dirt were going in and he had to chase down the trashcan hahah... Now one of the couple are worried about their cabin in Lake Arrowhead cus just half an hr ago, the fire start there.

hmm i cant find pictures yet..

well we're experience the driest winter on record.. so alot of brushes are extremely dry add that to winds that are blowing 35 to as high as 65 miles per hour.. so possibly those brushes rubbed against each other and ignite a fire.. the one in irvine which is like 10 miles from us was believed to be arson.... the fire in canyon country, san diego and now lake arrowhead was probably the same as the fire in malibu....

it's so tragic. my friend and j left an hr ago for the evacuation camp site for lake arrowhead to find out some info for his cabin.. his cabin is like gorgeous.. 2 story, floor to ceiling panel windows.. the firemen are stretch extremely thin.. the units in malibu, instead of fighting fires, alot of them are helping the idiots who refused to evacuate yesterday and last night to get out right now.. the biggest fire right now is in malibu i think cus they're going against wind and jumping slopes so they are basically surrounded.... lake arrowhead is coming strong at the moment because of all the pines that are dead from the beetle infestations...

oh san diego is really big right now too.. it's so weird that when l.a caught on fire.. hrs later sd goes up in flames too. and always seem to be bigger then l.a..

the last big fire was only 4 years ago..

wow it happens way too often there! Isnt there anything they can do about it? like a formula they can spray on the trees to prevent :P
They say: You don't know what you've got until it's gone

Truth: You knew exactly what you had, you just thought you'd never lose it

well no they cant really do anything but clear out the dead trees (up in lake arrowhead and big bear).. however it's a political thing.. you know the "no revenue to do it".. some crap like that... as for malibu.. there's way too many canyons.. and again, not enough resources to do it..

it does happen every year. but always small ones.. like remember the picture i posted last year.. lol it was on the other side of the mountain from my house.. lol and my house is up against the mountain too.. so if it cross over the slopes, we'd be in big trouble too.. however the good thing about our mountains is that it's very small brush weeds.. there's more dirt and rocks then vegetations. but the forest up in flames right now are all large vegetations.... so yeah there's hundred thousand of acres that you just can't clear.. so far this morning they said 180,000 acres burnt...

in 2003.. they said was like over 200,000 acres and i dont know how many thousands of home that went down..

j or mine? j's it's pretty darn smokey and ashy... as for mine it's just hazy.. fire is still far from both of ours. about 10 miles from j's.. as for mine.. it's on the other side of the mountain as well across the fwy.. so it's no where near... unless the forest on the 74 start burning.. that's a big forest too.. it stretches all the way from orange county down to south san diego..

yup.. you just have to evacuate... i mean there's no point to really panic.. you just have to live with the risk.. like j's area.. high risk of land slide. i mean if you choose to live in the path of destruction then you have to be able to look at all possible risk right? that goes for tornado valley as well as hurricane areas lol...

the beginning of the year i thought about building a cabin.. and i was just going to do a small inexpensive one because of the frequent cases of fire in that area..

maybe i should just leave it bare and pitch a tent lol..
