Issues with Spammers

Every since we've reopened the board to new registrations we are experiencing excessive spamming, and random spam threads. To control this problem, newbies are no longer allowed to post new topics.

Although posts made by newbies will not be moderated, newbies will no longer gain access to starting a new thread. Newbies however will still be allowed to post in any thread that are started by other members.

Newbies that would like to start a new thread may contact one of the admins and have one of us help you. You will automatically gain access to starting new threads once you reach Freshie status.

I think these spammers have taken to just posting random crap in the most viewed topics and such. I've reported on one post already.

It wasnt just what you guys have been seeing either, it got worse and worse. Sunny got really annoyed so she made it so that threads started by newbies only was seen by admins and required our approval to be seen by other members. Each of us were deleting dozen of threads upon logging on, then multiple ones while active in the forum *dunno*

I only opened 1/12 of those threads but could tell by the titles it wasnt related to anything on our board, so I just mass deleted them.

Yesterday there was threads titled sex in it, what if no admins are in and these threads get opened? That's why we're just going to put a restriction on newbies *yaa*
