But I still keep the suspision towards this "Hun Mee"/"Han Min" company. They dragged a lot of well-known names in Asia showbiz into their productions, yet none of them came out to be truth (actually most of those A-listers even never got contacted). Given that Dome is really hot among Chinese fans now because of "Ruk Mai Mee Wan Tai" (which is rumored to be aired on some Chinese TV channel soon too), this might be just another PR trick.

to be honest, from what I read in those Chinese media, most of the journalists don't pay much attention in Thai TV dramas or stars -- they have way too many J & K stuff to report. When I read those "storylines" or "latest news" about Thai TV dramas from some Chinese media, I always bursted into laughters -- most of them were simple copy-and-paste from our online forums, and even got spelling errors!
As for producers/production companies, I know that this Han Min is specialized in importing Thai dramas (coordinate the translation, apply for approval from the government, etc.), and I guess that's why it is always linked to Thai star related things in China.
Tik is considered as the first Thai star (paired with Aom) that got known by Chinese audience, thanks to the original version of "Luerd Kattiya" (They translated it as "Runaway Princess" in China). That is the first lakorn that I watched too. So it's natural that Tik has a huge group of Chinese fans. If some production company really wants to get a Thai star to act in their TV dramas, they would go for someone who is already known in China, to get more attraction. Since Tik turned it down, Dome might be a next choice. BTW Mario is also very hot in China, thanks to his movie "Love of Siam", favored by many OLs.
Again if this is turned out to be serious production, they might really try to grab one popular Thai star, even Pong might get a chance, I remember that he mentioned some Chinese producers are persuading him to act in Chinese TV dramas.

The TV channel that imported into China (in 2006 I think) translated the title according to the story ka. the scene that n'ek (the princess) ran out from the palace and played on that small island when she met p'ek, who thought she was just a girl working in the palace.
Well, if this TV drama came out to be into real production, we can move this thread to the International sub-forum I think.

The original version of "Luerd Kattiya" by Tik/Aom was imported into China by Hunan (a province of China) TV. But they aired it before the proper paperwork with the government (media control or sth like that) was done. So that version was not allowed to be aired any more in China, although it got quite good rating. (I watched the Chinese-subtitled version online later)
Based on this, I really doubt this remake will ever happen...
