i know this is so sad.. i feel so sad for the people who lost their lives due to a person's stupid, irrational, and senseless act!

man there was a school shooting at my university bout 2wks ago, but it's nothing as big as this. a guy went & shoot his ex-gf... yet after the incident, i was a lil paranoid everytime i go to campus cuz i thought someone could have a gun & could start another shooting any min... But this shooting in virginia is so much worst! I saw the pix and it was so Altho i was scared when it happened at my school, I bet the students at virgina tech are hella terrified right now... Gosh, there's really no where "safe" anymore

yup, another columbia high story again, i saw the news this morning.. horrified by it.. feel bad for those college parents. i know if something like this happen at my sister's university, i dont' know how i would handle it.. i think there's a total of 33 ppl now... and they identify the man as ASIAN. i want to know what part of ASIAN he is?.. what's the motive in this case? since there's only one person .. or was it more than one? .. anyhow, my sympathy goes to those families. another tragedy to remember . .. i can't believe this is happen .. . there's just too many crimes these days, make me scare to even go out - and here in my city ther's a murder too

I know, i heard about that. He killed himself after that. Thats crazy tho. but its sad for the innocent people that had died.

I will never understand how people can randomly shoot innocent people. If u really want to kill someone, just kill yourself. My condolences go out to the families of the victims and everyone who is affected by this incident.

So, he killed a total of 33 people including himself. It turns out he was a student there as well, he is a 23 yr old, Korean born male, his family came to the states in 1992, his family resides in Centreville VA. It seems that he was taking depression medication and really troubled, tere were signs of this disturbance, the more they investigate the more they are finding clues to his actions. Apparently, he was sent to the schools counseling ervice prior to the shooting, he wrote a story in his creative writing class that was very disturbing so his professor sent him to see the school's counseling service on campus.

We'll never understand why and how he was feeling to subdue to this type of action, he was definitely crying out for help due to his actions up to the killings, it's just sad that no one saw it and was not able to help. I 'm wondering if his parents knew he was so deeply disturbed, I mean he was taking depression medication. I feel horrible for the kids that lost their lives, I can't even begin to imagine how their parents are feeling.

it's confirmed at 33 now
