this is a difficult issue...i see both sides of it though: it could push them into prostitution, and it could really start to clean up thailand's often misunderstood reputation as a sex capital...

attracting the rich, but kicking out the poor. Uh.....i think attracting both could do good for the economy. It's kinda sad that Thailand is known for prostitition, but that makes thailand's economy stronger i guess so that foreigners can come.u kno some poor people r so poor on the outside, but they r hella rich. or rich people r so stingy, but choose to be so cheap.

hmmm I dont know.  I think they should start with the prostitution problem first.  Clean out the nightclubs that promote it.  Clean out the safe houses

Agree. *rxl*

*hihe* ........................it does make sense. We don't want the tourists getting a wrong impression of Thailand. You can't stop prostitution, there is always going to be prostitution everywhere around the world.

So true...

Still maybe cutting back down prostitution here and there won't hurt. Saves more lives that way. No sex, no aids. Peace.

Sorry..

I couldn't help notice the perspectives on it. It's very heated discussion and quite variable depending on the angles that the opinions are.
