Sam was an actor i think who was poor and probably had some involvement with drugs when he was younger n now that he's rich he doesnt like reporters n never let anyone interview him...until ne'k but i think she had to go stay at his house or something to get the interview

Okay I can see Um play as "tawan" but I don't know about Yaya. I was hoping for Janie.

Storyline is P'ek is a poor kid whose mother is a prostitute, and he and his sister are raised in the brothel. But seeing his sisters future is going to be like his mothers, they run away and end up living in the temple where they meet lots of other kids. There are two in particular, one ends up being Tawan's best friend and the other becomes his most despised enemy, Shane, who was adopted by an western couple, who actually used him to smuggle drugs. When the kids grow up, Tawan and his friend work low paying job like a waiter just to get by and pay for his sisters uni fees. Shane comes back one day and seduces his sister and sells her to a brothel. Tawan goes looking for her everywhere only to find her one day in a brothel and addicted to drugs. To pay for her hospital fees, he agrees to star in a movie, but unfortunaetly she dies. The movie becomes a hit, he becomes a star but he doesn't like his private life, especially concerning his past and his sister to be made public so he despises reporters.

Fast forward a few years. Tawan no longer stars in movies, instead he has become a top fashion designer.

N'ek is a reporter, Matana, whose latest scoop is to try and interview Tawan, an anonomys package was delivered to all the newspapers with pictures of Tawan's models in sexy/nude kind of poses, with a note saying that his models are escorts/prostitutes and that Tawan is a pimp. So her boss sends her to Phuket, where Tawan has a holiday home to try and get an interview. While trying to get an interview, she falls sick in front of his house and he has no choice but to take her in ... all the while, Shane has come back and is doing everything he can to bring Tawan down, especially targetting the people that Tawan loves.

I hope that sums up the lakorn well without giving too much away. Don't want to spoil it for people.

I wonder if they will include parts of the other two stories in this one like they did in the original version. One of my wishes would be for a production company to film all three triology in one lakorn, as the 3 main N'eks storylines happen simutaneously. They each get assigned a scoop at the same time, and go on there own adventures but sometimes actually cross paths, like Matana and Tawan from "Maya Tawan" go and visit Sarawaree and Sama from "Mon Juhntra". Sarawaree is more of a tomboy and I remember a line that Tawans says that he is lucky that the boss sent Matana to interview him and not Sarawaree cas she would have bombed his house or something like that.

As you can see from all this writing, I love this story so I have high expectations, so TV scene better not screw up on this.

We don't know how they are going to film this lakorn, if any of you remember watching the old CH7 version with Sam, they actually filmed all three stories in the one lakorn, obviously the storyline to Maya Tawan being the main story and the other two as side stories, though the side stories weren't exactly correct. Depends on what direction the CH3 script writers go, because each story is a seperate novel.

Tipstar, you should give the old version a try, thats if it's still available somewhere, and if you don't mind watching older stars like Sam Yuranun and Chadaporn. It was a CH7 lakorn produced by Kantana (back when Kantana was still producing great lakorns, I don't know what happened to them but there lakorns in the last few years have been very dissapointing, I just don't know how to explain it).

And to complete the triology, you should watch "Fah grajarg dao" with Por N & Noon W.

Thanks for the recommendation, Sutisa. I have seen Fah Krajarng Dao but got really bored with it.

It's hard to remember Kantana making good lakorns when recently, everything's been so dramatic and overtop. Especially with Jao Sao Rim Tang. I like Sam and Shada, so maybe I should go and find it.

Kantana use to do lots of good lakorns, back in the days when the only production companies producing lakorns for Ch7 was Kantana and Daravdo. Kantana use to also produce lakorns for ch5. Some of my all favourite lakorn's were Kantana productions like "Maya tawan", it's a lakorn I can rewatch many times (I was so addicted to the lakorn I had to go out and buy the book, and only when I bought the book did I realise there was another two novels!), "Kao blerk" with Tao and Kat. "Vimarn Mekala" with Johnny and Kat, "Darm Roi Rak" with Tai Saitarn & Jay Monton's brother (whose name escapes me right now). There is heaps more... but in like the last 5-7 (?) years, I've noticed the quality of there productions have slipped, it's not only dramatic and over the top but almost has a comical, cartonish, dream like feel to it. I really don't know how to explain it. I just don't know what changed. I found this ever since they made "dance mai seur ley jeur rak" with Amy and Kade (that lakorn was good) but every lakorn after that was mediocre at best. There were a few exceptions but instead of liking nearly all, I would like only 1-2.
A prime example is that lakorn with Kwan and Stefan, lets be honest, the storyline just killed the lakorn, it was so stupid, I know most of you don't like Stefan's acting but no good actor could have saved that ridiculous storyline. I only finished it because of Kwan but in reality I probably watched 1/2 hr of it, the rest I FF.

Sorry I'm ranting again!
