His name may be a mouthful but this rising actor/singer may be headed for the big time after a hit collaboration with Beyonce.

You had a successful band, Siplor, in Thailand. Why did you decide to go solo?
An opportunity came up to work with a successful songwriter. I was signed on to a major label but dropped later on. My music career only took off again when my song "Disappear" appeared on Beyonce's I Am Sasha Fierce album.

You also had an acting career going. Why give it all up to do singing?
I did acting as it helped me financially. But it was frustrating as I had no control over what I was doing. I only did it because it paid. I decided to devote myself to singing completely when the band became successful. In fact, I met my band members while working on a set and we all shared the same vision of wanting to put together a Thai country-rock band, inspired by other Thai bands such as Clear Water Revival.

What can we expect from your upcoming album Old Tyme Religion. Can you tell us how the title came about?
It's an album that defies easy categorisation. It's a mix of hip-hop, country, blues and rock 'n' roll which I hope listeners will find contemporary and relevant. The song "Old Tyme Religion" sets the tone for the entire album so I decided to name the album after it.

Do you love blues and rock 'n' roll music from the past?
Yeah. I find myself being continually inspired by musicians lik Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, and Led Zeppelin. - SONJA WONG

lol he said that acting (I guess he meant lakorns b4) just "helped financially". Guess quite some lakorn actors/actresses nowadays have the same idea - they use the paycheck from lakorns to support themselves for sth else that they really want to do.
