Who was in "Split Seconds" again, SS? That sounds so familiar.

I hope they have success. I love Thai drama series, aka lakorns, so much. Well, depending on the storyline and actors of course.

Thank you for the info, SS!

*nono* i don't know how i feel about a collaboration. the lack of language is something. i don't even like collaboration between Koreans and Chinese and then Koreans and Japanese. *rll*

a lot of the ch 3 fans sub their lakorns though, so that should get international coverage shouldnt it? I barely see ch 7 lakorns being subbed. Or maybe I havent been paying much attention

Sao Chai Hi-Tech is subbed! Also, that lakorn of Win and Pinky was subbed too. I'm not sure if they are completed though! KEKEKE but I think they should be.

Yeah, as long as there is sub, there is more coverage.

Just Thai to English you lose some of the essence of the Thai language. I heard it is even more so when it is subbed from Thai to Chinese. As long as the fans get the gist of it and are enjoying it.

there's a loss of essence from english to another language too. Just how some words in thai, there's only one word for it, but in english there's plenty of ways to say it :(

Rita & Nok Chatchai and some other Thai actors in it. It's a collaboration between Thai TV (guess Ch3, lol) with TVB HK. Basically it's about HK mafia/police and Thailand mafia/police.

Actually many lakorns have been subtitled with Chinese, some are from English, some are directly from Thai. To me, the translation is really a tough work cuz you need to understand the "behind-the-words" of Thai instead of just word-to-word translation. But yes some subtitlers don't care too much about this, they just want to finish it ASAP, and fans just want to know the "rough idea" of what's going on, then so be it, lol.

The band "August" (I only know the other "Love of Siam" boy, Pchy, is in this band) was invited to the Hunan TV countdown concert. Here are some pics from NewsPlus:

btw Hunan is my hometown, :Spicy_05: although an inland province, Hunan TV has the biggest and most successful entertainment channels in China.
