yesterday, i read an article about youtube being ban in thailand. it was because it did not remove a video clip that was deemed insulting to the king. it is kind of weird to see that from the standpoint of someone who is not thai. maybe you guys can give me some insight so that i understand what all the fuss is about.

also is youtube back online in thailand now?
well i did i search on the clip and it is still posted on youtub...

I kinda understand why they'd do it in Thailand, cause one if people watch online, they wont need to watch it live right? So how are the actors suppose to get paid when the stuff is available for free?
They say: You don't know what you've got until it's gone

Truth: You knew exactly what you had, you just thought you'd never lose it

Thanks Natty!

People now-a-day have no respect for each other (where is the world heading-America?), but s/he who made that video, his parents maybe not teach him or her the word "respect" (s/he needs some loving). Too much freedom isn't that great either haha because ignorant people like this person abuse that wonderful opportunity.

The world is coming to an end with freedom of speech...future will be limited freedom... *hyp*

Whomever created that video is making Oliver Rudolph's life in prison more difficulty. Just imagine what those prisoners are going to do to him haha. Whomever created that is going to regret doing it! I bet you that his closed relatives will probably protest to remove those video, after finding out that Oliver had a harsh/difficult life in prison. Man, that person must be really stupid to have that on youtube. If something does happen to him in prison, it will be whoever created that video on youtube *muha*

The whole story is...

Oliver was arrest because of insulting the king.

In my opinion, Oliver deserves it. He has been living in Thailand for 10 years !! He should know that his action is illegal.

The incident is that he was drunk and wanted some more alchohol. However, he couldn't get any from shops coz it was an important day(In Thailand these things are banned to sell on important days). So, he was angry and sprayed the picture of The King.

He deserves it !!

Then,
someone called himeself 'paddidda' posted a clip insulting Thai king with silly reason that his friend should not be in jail.

ICT of Thailand send a message to youtube to remove the clip but nothing has been done. Therefore, ICT block access to YouTube.

That's it.
